Cookie Policy
At Pharmalytics, we respect your digital privacy. Unlike most platforms, we have consciously chosen not to use tracking technologies (trackers). Important Note: The left column contains the technical description. The right column explains simply what this means for you.
1. What are Cookies?
Legal Text (Binding)
Cookies are small text files stored in your device's browser during web browsing. They are used to store information such as user preferences, login details, or browsing data.
In Plain Words (Explanation)
They are small files that help the site remember who you are (e.g., that you have logged in).
2. Legal Framework
Legal Text (Binding)
This Cookie Policy complies with:
- ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC
- Greek Law 3471/2006 "Protection of personal data in electronic communications"
- GDPR Regulation (2016/679)
- HDPA Guidelines 1/2020 on the use of cookies
According to the legal framework, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the obligation to obtain consent.
In Plain Words (Explanation)
This policy follows EU and Greek laws regarding cookies.
Necessary cookies (those needed for the site to function) do not require your permission.
3. What Cookies we use (and what NOT)
Legal Text (Binding)
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| A. Strictly Necessary | We use first-party cookies which are technically necessary for establishing a connection to the platform (Authentication Tokens) and data transaction security (CSRF protection). Without these, the application cannot function. |
| B. Analytics Cookies | WE DO NOT USE third-party analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics). Instead, we use the Plausible Analytics service, which does not place cookies. |
| C. Advertising & Tracking Cookies | WE DO NOT USE. Our website does not contain pixels, trackers, or third-party cookies for marketing purposes. |
In Plain Words (Explanation)
We only use the cookies that Microsoft (Entra ID) needs to know it's you when you connect.
We do not use Google Analytics or other tools that set tracking cookies.
There are no advertising cookies. You are not going to see a Pharmalytics ad on Facebook because you visited our site.
4. Detailed Cookie Table
Legal Text (Binding)
| Cookie Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sessionid / auth_token | Necessary | Session maintenance | Session | Microsoft Entra ID |
csrf_token | Necessary | Protection against CSRF attacks | Session | Pharmalytics |
cookie_consent | Necessary | Storing cookie preference | 1 year | Pharmalytics |
- Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
- We do not use persistent cookies for tracking.
- We do not use third-party cookies.
In Plain Words (Explanation)
5. Usage Statistics (Analytics without Cookies)
Legal Text (Binding)
For traffic analysis, we use the Plausible Analytics service. This is a privacy-friendly solution that:
- Does not use cookies.
- Does not collect personal data.
- Does not store IP addresses (IP Anonymization).
- Is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR.
The data collected is 100% anonymous and limited to: number of visitors, popular pages, traffic sources.
In Plain Words (Explanation)
We want to know if our site is fast and which pages you read, but without knowing *who* you are.
We use a special tool (Plausible) that measures visitors without "profiling" them.
6. Cookie Management
Legal Text (Binding)
You can completely disable cookies through your browser settings. However, we inform you that disabling necessary cookies will make it impossible to log in to the Pharmalytics application.
Instructions for Cookie Management by Browser| Browser | Instructions |
|---|---|
| Google Chrome | Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data |
| Mozilla Firefox | Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data |
| Microsoft Edge | Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies |
| Safari | Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data |
| Opera | Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies |
In Plain Words (Explanation)
If you block all cookies from your browser, you won't be able to enter the application, because the system won't be able to recognize your password.
7. Why don't you see a Cookie Banner?
Legal Text (Binding)
According to Article 4 of Law 3471/2006 and HDPA Guidelines 1/2020, obtaining consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user.
Because Pharmalytics uses only necessary cookies (for login and security) and does not use analytics or advertising cookies, no cookie consent banner is required.
This is our deliberate choice to offer a better user experience without annoying pop-ups.
In Plain Words (Explanation)
We don't bother you with that annoying "Accept Cookies" window because:
- We use ONLY strictly necessary cookies
- We do not track you with analytics
- We do not target you with ads
We did this on purpose to avoid annoying you\!
